Using the Tracker Page
Use this procedure to add a new item (that is, a visitor) to the tracker:
- Select Trackers > List trackers from the Menu module.
The Trackers page lists your Website Visitor information tracker.
- Click the Website Visitor Information tracker. The Tracker: Website Visitor Information page appears.
Tip
You can also select Actions > View.
This page lists the items in the tracker (currently there are none).
- Click Create Item. Tiki displays a form to add a new item.
- Complete each field in Insert new item area of the page.
Note
Notice the following features of the form:
The Your name, Email, and Country fields are required (as signified by the *). If you try to save the form without entering information in these fields, Tiki displays an error message. Tiki also attempts to validate the email address; it must be in the name@domain.com format.
The list of countries (and their flags) is generated automatically by Tiki.
- Click Create. Tiki saves the information and reloads the tracker information page, showing your newly created item:
Notice that:
- Not all fields are listed. Only the fields for which you enabled the List option are listed.
- Fields that are not mandatory (such as the City field) can be left blank.
- Tiki added a Last Modified field, as you selected when you created the tracker.
Check your email, too! Because you added your email to be notified (when you created the tracker ), Tiki will send you an automated email each time a tracker is created or update.
Try adding adding additional items to your tracker.
